Summer Camps 2022

Tobacco Free Adagio Health Youth Services Coordinators and Health Educators visited five summer programs for the duration of the summer in Southwest PA and Allegheny County. Programming offered consisted of trivia, poster making, rock painting and much more. TFAH staff enjoyed connecting with the youth while providing hands on interactive and tobacco prevention focused activities.

Little Hearts Camp

Carlyn Becker, Health Educator, and Sydney Starr, Health Educator, presented Why Animals Don’t Smoke to Pre-k students at Little Hearts Camp in Baldwin.



Methodist Union for Social Agencies Summer Camp

Carlyn Becker, Health Educator, and Sydney Starr, Health Educator, visited Methodist Union for Social Agencies Summer Camp and designed “No Smoking” posters for their building with students.

Carlyn asked students to label parts of their body affected by nicotine and tobacco with post it notes at MUSA.


 

















Youth Empowerment Project Summer Camp

Carlyn Becker and Sydney Starr created an obstacle course with a golf station and tobacco trivia with students at the Youth Empowerment Project summer camp in Sharpsburg.



 

Southwestern PA

Students painted rocks with Katerina Patrick, Health Educator, and Bryant Pinder, Youth Services Coordinator, at the Boys and Girls Club in Somerset. Students painted positive messages to encourage individuals not to smoke. They also participated in trivia and the Why Animals Don’t Smoke program.
